Football for Future joined forces with Arsenal Academy to host climate education workshops, creating a space for young players to engage with the fundamentals of climate change and the natural sciences.

We look at our two day workshop with the Irish FA were we shared knowledge and recommendations on climate change and the role football has going forward. 

Following our campaign launch, we take a transparent look at the complexities of creating a sustainable game.

Supported by FFF and Common Goal, players from four different countries are taking responsibility for the environmental impact of their flights to and from the tournament.

This week Sports Positive Leagues has released the EFL 2022 Matrix, which charts the sustainability efforts of clubs in the Championship, League One, and League Two. This new initiative represents the organisation’s efforts to encourage environmental responsibility across all levels of professional football.

The first weekend of February was the first annual Green Football Weekend. This saw more than 80 football clubs participating in a coordinated action plan to promote environmental sustainability. As well as Wolves launching their One Pack, One Planet pledge, there was fantastic engagement and support across the beautiful game, making GFW the biggest ever weekend for climate awareness in the footballing world.

FFF research has identified at least 60 matches across the English football pyramid postponed due to freezing weather conditions in January.
