    Role Type: Part of a freelance pool with delivery of training and workshops (expected 5-10 deliveries per year) paid per delivery.

    Working type: Face to face delivery of workshops and training on site with partner organisations. Remote working for content development and adaptation, as well as for writing of impact reports.

    Role Description

    An Education and Training Officer delivers climate and sustainability workshops to football industry professionals and young people in football. They will deliver engaging sessions that provide an increase in knowledge on sustainability to a host of partner organisations, including for staff CPD, academy players and school students.

    Responsibilities

    Delivery of face to face and online education workshops about sustainability and climate change, including the interrelationship between climate and football.

    Development of sustainability and climate change educational content to meet the needs of the specific audience.

    Writing of impact report utilising monitoring and evaluation data gathered from workshops and training delivered.

    Essentials

    Passion for environmental sustainability

    High confidence and good rapport

    Experience developing and delivering high-quality training/workshops

    Subject to a clear Enhanced DBS check

    Monitoring and evaluation experience of programmes

    Experience working in school environment

    Ability to work well as part of a team, including co-delivery and facilitation of training with other staff members.

    Degree in environmental sciences/geography or equivalent field, or teaching qualification.

    Good organisation and communication skills

    Desirables

    Willing to travel, sometimes overnight

    Proven experience managing successful partnerships

  • We are looking for an experienced freelance grant writer to help us complete grant applications.

    FFF is currently registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) but Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registration remains a top priority for the organisation.

    As a remote team you need to be a self starter, although you will have weekly virtual meetings with Barney Weston, one of FFF’s two Co-Directors - and regular interaction with our small team of permanent staff, freelancers and volunteers. You should be based in England and be willing to occasionally travel to London for in-person team meetings (at least once a month).

    Key Tasks

    Research, draft and submit grant funding proposals for FFF.

    Work with FFF’s Co-Directors to identify financial needs and ensure the organisation reaches its annual goals.

    Study and understand FFF’s history, structure, objectives and programmes.

    Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.

    Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.

    We are looking for an experienced administrator to help us with bookkeeping, invoices, taxes, VAT returns, board meeting preparation, minute-taking and other tasks.

    We are already working with a professional accountant regarding Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE but we need help with preparing our accounts and relevant receipts for them, including updating them on Xero.

    Additionally, although FFF is currently registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) we still operate as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). The Board of Trustees meet every quarter to review financial spending, priorities, safeguarding and our risk and conflicts of interest registers. This means we often need help with minute-taking and writing up the meeting agenda. CIO registration is a top priority for the organisation so experience with CIO administration is also appreciated.

    Lead administration for quarterly board meetings, including writing the meeting agenda in conjunction with Barney Weston, FFF Co-Director, and Matt Brookland, FFF Chairman.
